Charge Nurse (RN) - Day Shift - Acute & Emergency Departments
Full Time or Part Time
Day Shift
6:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
2-3, 12 hours shifts per week
The charge nurse will be responsible for serving as a leader within the department, assigning duties and roles to nursing staff each shift, making departmental decisions in accordance with HCH policies and procedures and assume responsibility for staffing. Furthermore, they will perform the routine duties of acute nursing department registered nurse. This position is responsible for implementation of nursing care through the application of the nursing process in accordance with the hospital’s established policies and procedures, by the utilization of skills which have been learned through an organized educational program. Is responsible for the supervision of all nursing activities in the facility during hours of duty. Maintains confidentiality of all patient information. Maintains a “customer friendly” environment by treating all individuals with dignity, respect and concern for their well-being.
Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Must have a current, valid Registered Nurse License.
Must have current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Must have current NRP, PALS or ENPC and TNCC certifications (or be willing to obtain them).
Must have at least 1 year of previous work experience in a Acute/Med Surge or Emergency Department
