Surgical Technologist
PRN position
This position will work scheduled day hours in OR to help provide coverage during staff absences. May also help cover on-call shifts for weeknights & weekends.
The Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting the surgical team before, during and after the surgical procedure by performing stated duties. The duties included are of both a clinical and clerical nature. Performs preoperative procedures such as selection and placement of surgical instruments, supplies and equipment. Scrubs and assists surgical team donning of gowns and gloves. Provides instruments, sutures and other sterile supplies during operative procedures. Will wash and sterilize used equipment and instruments.
Preferred, but not required:
Graduate of an accredited school for Surgical Technologist. If no formal education, previous work experience as a Surgical Technologist is required.
Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
